Income taxes of more than Taka 11.79 crore was collected in a week-long Tax Fair-2016 that concluded here on Monday evening.
Rajshahi Zonal Tax Commissioner’s Office organised the fair at Zafar Imam Tennis complex for eligible citizens to pay income tax availing facilities in a hassle-free manner. During the fair, 10,136 taxpayers submitted their return and 39,509 others received services relating to income taxes.
Besides, many other citizens received assistance from income tax officials on income tax, registering or re-registering their e-TIN numbers, e-TIN certificates, and calculation of income taxes and in filling out income tax return forms to pay their income taxes in the fair from 10 am to 5 pm every day.
In addition to a consultation point, six stalls from six circles of the zone extended other necessary services in the fair. Income Tax officials provided advices and suggestions on income tax, TIN certificates and assist the taxpayers. Janata and Sonali banks set up booths to help the taxpayers in paying income taxes.
Regional Income Tax Commissioner Dabir Uddin and Deputy Commissioners Abdul Maleque and Mosharraf Hossain addressed the closing session.
