Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) Md. Najibur Rahman said, Bangladesh is the country of great prospect.
He said this in a view exchanging meeting held at the conference room of the Panama Port Link Limited at Sonamasjid Land Port on Friday afternoon.
Among others, law maker of Chapainawabganj-1 (Shibganj) constituency Md. Golam Rabbani, Rajshahi Sector Commander of Border Guard Bangladesh Colonnel Sajjad Hossain, Deputy Commissioner of Chapainawabganj Md. Jahidul Islam, Superintendent of Police TM Mujahidul Islam, other officials of NBR and Customs, officials of land port authority, leaders of business community and other leaders of the land port related organizations were present.
The NBR chairman said, NBR has taken initiatives for achieving the target of revenue collection by following the good governance and developed management system.
He also asked all concerned to take proper initiatives to stop harassment in cargo clearance and release of goods.
He again asked them to ensure security at the land port, scanning, weigh bridge and other facilities.
NBR has now become a business and revenue friendly institution and as a result, NBR is committed to ensure highest service to the tax payers, he added.
He further added that the customs stations must work with utmost cordiality and service providing mentality.
