National Bank Limited (NBL), the first generation private sector bank, has launched of its first-ever Master Card and Visa branded EMV-enabled Chip Credit Card (Platinum, Gold and Classic) with Near Field Communication (NFC) technology under Q-Cash network.
The opening ceremony was held at the conference hall of Zainul Haque Sikder Women’s Medical College & Hospital in the capital on Saturday to serve extraordinary digital services and best banking experience to its countrywide huge customers base which is compliant with the latest antifraud precautions applied worldwide.
This card will spontaneously communicate with the contactless payment terminals to exchange secured card information for any transaction up to Tk. 3,500.00 for flawless approval from the issuing bank.
This card will be accepted worldwide at the Point of Sales (POS) terminals and ATMs bearing logo of Visa, Master Card. In Bangladesh, this card will also be accepted at any POS & ATMs bearing Visa, Master Card, NPSB, Q-cash.
The launch further strengthens National Bank’s commitment to the push behind cashless payments and to provide safer, faster and simpler payments options for consumers in Bangladesh.
The EMV-enabled contactless Visa & Master Card credit cards will make the payments experience quicker and more seamless by allowing cardholders to simply tap the card in front of a card reader or POS terminal to complete the transaction up to Tk. 3,500.00 which will not require any more to swiping or inserting the card into the terminal.
