Chattogram Bureau :
Naval forces in Chattogram has rescued 14 fishermen alive from a floating fishing boat that had been floating for six days in the Bay of Bengal, 140 km away from Cox’s Bazar.
On Friday, the Navy’s ship search team rescued the fishing boat named ‘FV Muriam’ along with the fisherman.BNS Durjoy later handed them over to the boat owner’s son in Chittagong on Sunday (November 28).
The rescued fishermen are Monir Ahmed (boatman), Nawab Mia (son of the boat owner), Saifuddin, Salamutullah, Qasim, Shahadat Hossain, Salauddin, Abdur Rahim, Karim, Rabi Alam, Russell, Ansar, Selim and Jabbar.
