Bangladesh Navy athletics team was accorded a warm reception for winning two gold medals in the recently concluded 12th South Asian Games held in India.
Bangladesh Navy Chief Vice Admiral Mohammad Nizamuddin Ahmed accorded the reception to the participating players as their recognition of success in the games on Tuesday at the Navy Headquarters Sagorika Hall.
The Bangladesh Navy team members brought highest medals including two gold and 14 silver medals for the country and this achievement remarkable enhanced the reputation of the country.
Bangladesh Navy famed swimmer Mahfuza Khatun Sila won two gold medals in 50 and 100 meter breast stroke along with a bronze medal in team event.
In the reception ceremony, gold and silver medals winners of World long distance swimming competition were also awarded.
