Bangladesh Naval war ship BNS Swadhinata leaves Chattogram Naval base for Doha, Qatar aimed at participating the 3 days long 7th International Naval Exercise and Exhibition (DIMDEX) scheduled to be held at Doha port areas from March 26 next. In the sea exercise , naval ships, high naval officials of different countries of the world will participate . BNS Swadhinata led by Captain Mostafa Zillur Rahim Khan alongwith 22 officers and 141 cadets will join the naval exercise. . During the journey to Doha, the naval ship Swadhnata will pay courtesy visit at Colombo Port , Sri Lanka and Mumbai Port , India . In return journey from Doha, it will also pay visit at Muscat port , Oman and Kochin port of India .
Following the participation in the multinational naval exercise , beside the skill development of Bangladesh naval officers & crews , defence relations among the friendly countries will be strengthened further. BNS Swadhinata leaves Chattogram Naval base friday morning and given formal farewell to the officers, cadets and crews through presenting bands as per naval rules.
At the time of disembarkation of the BNP war ship, Commander BN Fleet Captain Kutubuddin , Naval officers, and the family members of the onboard officers and crews were present at naval base. The war ship Swadhinata is e xpected to return home on April 6 next after end of the exercise .
