A day-long ‘Nature Festival-2018’ was held on Friday on the Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus with the slogan ‘Reduce Pollution, Save the Nature’.
Natural Conservation Initiative (NCI), an organisation of environmentalists, organised the festival at the Zahir Raihan auditorium of the campus.
Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Farzana Islam inaugurated the festival as the chief guest.
The VC stressed on the conservation of biodiversity in the environment and urged to keep the nature suitable and safe for the habitat of human beings by reducing pollution in scientific means.
JU Treasurer Prof Sheik Md Monzurul Huq addressed the function as special guest with NCI President Zahirul Islam Tonmoy in the chair.
Acting Dean of Law and Justice Faculty Prof Bashir Ahmed, Adviser of NCI Prof Monwar Hossain Tuhin and Prof Jamal Uddin spoke among others.
