Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain on Saturday said the National Housing Authority (NHA) has lost the possession of many of its lands to influential people in the government.
He said this at a seminar titled ‘May Day and Newspapers in Chittagong’, organised by Chittagong Union of Journalists at the Chittagong Press Club.
The minister said apartments will be built over the rest of the NHA lands and be awarded to citizens against a 20-year repayment period.
He also noted that the government will undertake projects to build planned cities in all the 465 upazilas of the country.
