Jahangirnagar University Debate Organisation (JUDO) is going host “National Debate Festival-2021” from October 8 to October 23.
Holding the slogan ‘Konthe Vanguk Kaler Prachir’ the fest will begin virtually on Friday (tomorrow).
JUDO General Secretary Farhan Anzum Karim disclosed the event on Thursday afternoon through a press conference held at university’s Teachers-Student Center.
“A total of 96 teams from public and private universities, colleges and schools across the country will participate in the contest which will be inaugurated by JUDO founder president Abdhullah Ahmed Chowdhury Mamun”, said Farhan Karim Anzum.
The debate competition will be featured with inter-university, inter-college and inter-school debate competitions and an opening ceremony.
Inter-school, Inter-college and inter-university debate competition will be held on October 8-9, October 16-17 and October 22-23 respectively through online medium.
The ending session and prize giving ceremony of the debate festival is expected to be held on November at the Selim Al Din Muktamancha premises.
Convenor of the fest and JUDO President Saimum Mousumi Bristy, Co-Convenor Zillal Hosain Sourov and JUDO Press and Media Secretary Abdullah Al Habib were present at the press conference among others.
