National Youth Day was celebrated on Thursday at Kapasia in Gazipur, with ‘The theme of the country, Bangabandhu’s country will grow’. On the occasion, a colorful procession at the initiative of the upazila youth development directorate was ended in front of the Upazila Parishad by passing the main road of the town.
Later, 43 youths and youths were given 9 lakh 80 thousand taka in 3 loan programmes.
Certificates were distributed after the mushroom training among 30 youths, and 30 more young women were trained to work in the prevention of mushroom and terrorism-militancy.
Officer-in-Charge of Kapasia Police Station (Investigation) Rajiv Kumar Das, Statistical Officer Arifa Khatun, among others, spoke at the meeting organized by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Moussa Ismat Ara in the chairmanship of Youth Development Officer Moussa Shamima Akhter.
