The Exim Bank 29th National Women’s Handball Championship begins at the Shaheed Capt (Retd) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium here today.
However, the four-day meet to be organised by Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) will be inaugurated by newly appointed State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell on Wednesday morning.
Managing Director of the meet’s sponsor Exim Bank Dr Mohammad Haider Ali will also be present on the occasion as a special guest.
BHF General Secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor and Tournament Committee Chairman M Narul Islam will be present at the inaugural function to be chaired by BHF President Nurul Fazal Bulbul.
Fourteen teams: BJMC, Bangladesh Ansar, Bangladesh Police, Feni, Jamalpur, Naogaon, Narail, Dhaka, Panchagarh, Gopalganj, Faridpur, Dinajpur, Kushtia and Bandarban districts-will compete in the meet.
