National Voters’ Day observed in Kishoreganj

The National Voter’s Day was observed in Kishoreganj as elsewhere in the country on Tuesday with the theme of” If you are eighteen— don’t be late to be a voter.”
The Election Commission (EC) including District Administration, Kishoreganj chalked out elaborate programmes marking the day.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kishoreganj Mohammed Shamim Alam and Police Super (SP) Mashrukur Rahman Khaled were attended as chief and special guest while District Election Officer (DEO) Ashraful Alam presided over the programmes.
A discussion meeting was held at local collectorate conference room on Tuesday morning.
It was addressed among others by Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Abdulla-al-Masud,ADC (General)Golam Mostafa, Deputy Director of Social services kazi Kamruzzaman ,CAB District President Alarm Sarowar Tito and District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal.
DC Mohammed Shamim Alam in his speech said the Election Commission (EC)is paying significant and responsible role in holding polls in every phase including local government and national elections in the country.
Later, the smart cards were distributed to the people who became voters in 2019.
