National Volleyball Competition begins tomorrow

The Shahjalal Islami Bank National Volleyball (28th Men’s & 23rd Women’s) Competition begins tomorrow at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur.
Bangladesh Volleyball Federation will organize the volleyball competition.
Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited is the title sponsor of the meet, while EXIM Bank Limited is the platinum sponsor of the competition and Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited is the gold sponsor of the meet. ATN Bangla is the media partner of the competition.
Marking the ensuing volleyball competition, a press conference was held at the Dutch-Bangla Bank Auditorium of Bangladesh Olympic Association Bhaban on Saturday.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) Ashiqur Rahman Miku, Senior Vice-President of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited Md Shamsuddoha, Joint-Secretary of BVF Advocate Fazle Rabbi Babul were present at the conference, among others.
A total of ten teams will compete in the Men’s Division. They are: Bangladesh Power Development Board, Titas Club, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, BGB, Satkhira district team, Bhola district team, Pabna district team, Khulna district team, Chiittagong University.
A number of 10 teams will take part in the Women’s Division. They are: BJMC, Bangladesh Ansar, Pabna district team, Rajshahi district team, Rajbari district team, Khulna district team, Chittagong district team, Narail district team, Chittagong University, Bangladesh Police.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder will inaugurate the volleyball competition tomorrow as the chief guest.
Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader will distribute the prizes among the winners as the chief guest on the concluding day (July 31).
The champions will be awarded taka thirty thousand, while the runners-up will be given taka twenty thousand.
