The Shahjalal Islami Bank National Volleyball Championship got underway on Monday at the Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in Mirpur.
This year’s championship features the 28th men’s and 23rd women’s championships and will reach its conclusion on July 31.
State minister for youth and sports Dr. Biren Sikder MP formally inaugurate the event.
In the men’s division, Sathkhira district beat Pabna district by 3-1 sets (25-18, 23-25, 25-22, 29-27). In other fixture, Border Guards Bangladesh (BBGB) beat Bhola District in a 3-0 sets (25-18, 25-23, 25-27).
In the women’s section, Rajshahi district beat Khulna by 3-1 sets (21-25, 25-12, 25-15). In another match BJMC were in fine form as they won by 3-0 sets (25-09, 25-10, 25-12).
