Sports Reporter :The 34th National Senior, 15th National Junior, 11th National Women’s, 1st Masters National Weightlifting Competition began at the Gymnasium of National Sports Council on Tuesday. RB Group is sponsoring the meet.Ruju Kumar Roy of Bangladesh Police became first in Junior 56 weight category lifting 186 kg while Sheikh Naeem Hossain of Bagerhat achieved first position in Junior 62 kg weight category raising 209 kg. Milon Roy of Dinajpur secured the first position in Junior 69 kg weight category lifting 196 kg.State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder, MP inaugurated the competition and distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while Additional Director of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn was with him as the special guest.President of Bangladesh Weightlifting Federation Manjur Kader Quraishy, General Secretary of the Federation Wing Commander (Retd) Mohiuddin Ahmed, General Secretary of Bangladesh Bodybuilding Federation Md Nazrul Islam were present at the time.
