Benapole Secondary High School will face Chomir Uddin School and College of Nilphamari in the final of the National School Football Championship at the Outer Stadium in the city today.
The match will kick-off at 3.30pm.
Earlier, Benpole won the group phase match by four goals to nil against the same opponents team.
Coach of Benapole Sabbir Ahmed Polash wants to retain that consistence.
Sabbir Ahmed Polash spoke at a press conference in the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House on Tuesday. He said, ” My boys will win the match after present a better brand of football.” Polash highly praised the performance of the Captain of his team Sayeedur Rahman Rahul. Rahul and Captain of Chomir Uddin School and College Nayeem Islam are eagerly waiting to play in the final.
Bangladesh’s football level is now at the bottom position. Bangladesh are now in the 192nd position, according to the latest FIFA ranking.
Chairman of Scholl Football Committee of BFF Bijon Barua said, ” There are lot of good footballers in the school level. Many of them have performed like former national footballer Sabbir and Monem Munna. There are some talented players, who can be perform like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in future. If the teen age footballers of school football continue to perform football, Bangladesh will get footballers like Sabbir and Munna.
He said, “We have made a list of eighty footballers who are taking part in the National School Football Tournament. We shall give the list to the Development Committee of BFF. The Committee will take necessary step for the long term coaching camp.”
Players of Ali Idris High School team of Habiganj came to Dhaka after they were effected by flood. So they will be awarded Fair Play trophy.
