Bangladesh Army emerged the champions of the Walton Motorcycle 4th National Rugby Competition when they defeated Narail district by 44-10 points in the final at the Paltan Maidan on Wednesday.
Army had a 30-10 lead in the first half.
Bangladesh Army were awarded Tk 20,000 while Narail district the runners-up of the meet was given Tk 10,000 as prize-money.
Md Jasim Molla of Narail district was adjudged the Player of the Tournament. He got home appliance from Walton.
After the final match Secretary of National Sports Council Shivnath Roy distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn was with him as the special guest.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Rugby Federation Abdullah Al Jahir Shawpan, General Secretary of the Federation Mousum Ali and Secretary of the Tournament Committee Syed Ahmed were present at the time.
