The 6th National Roller Skating Championship begins today at the Bangabandhu National Stadium Square. The Roll Ball event will be held at the Abahani Roller Skating Ground in Dhanmondi from April 5 to April 6.
Bangladesh Roller Skating Federation has arranged the four-day long National Roller Skating Championship and two-day long Roll Ball event.
To mark the ensuing roller skating competition, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday. General Secretary of Bangladesh Roller Skating Federation (BRSF) Ahmmed Asiful Hasan disclosed all the matters related to the sports meet. Vice-President of BRSF Md Nadim, Joint-Secretary of BSRF Jummon Raj, Joint-Secretary of the Federation Ashraful Alam Masum, Members of BSRF Md Sayeedur Rahman, Shamsher Ali Khan were present at the conference.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder will inaugurate the meet today as the chief guest.
423 participants from 24 clubs are taking part in the Speed Skating Competition while 114 athletes from 12 clubs are competing the 6th National Roller Skating (Speed Skating & Roll Ball) Championship.
The budget of the competition has been estimated at Tk 10,00,000 while Bangladesh Roller Skating Federation will bear total expenditure of the meet from its own fund.
