A 29-member development national forum of Women Dairy Entrepreneurs has been formed to empower the women by increasing dairy production and their income in the
Country’s remote areas. The forum has been formed by parliamentarians, officials of Livestock Department, Bangladesh Bank, Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation, Bangladesh Krishi Bank, Janata Bank Limited and Karmasangsthan Bank, teachers of Dhaka University Economic and Gender Studies Department, Bangladesh Arthonity Samity, Journalists, different samities and different private development
organisations, said a press release.
Oxfam Bangladesh has taken the initiative and Economist Professor Dr Abul Barkat called with the assistance of Human Development Resource Centre (HDRC) to form the forum.The forum president is Lawmaker Umme Kulsum Smriti and member secretary Ali Ahmed Tutul.
