The 57th National convention of Institute of Engineers Bangladesh is scheduled to be held in Chitagong in Janauray next at Chittagong centre.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to remain present in the opening ceremony of the national convention as chief guest.
This was disclosed at a press meet arranged at IEB chitagong centre on Sunday . Chairman of IEB, Chitagong Centre Engr. Sadek Mohammad chowdhury read out a written statement before the journos. The press meet was told that 57th convention will be held on 3rd week of January next year.
The main theme of the convention is “Digital Technology for Development” and the theme of the national seminar is “Utilization for Digital Tech for Pro-people development” . About 6 thousand engineers from home and abroad are expected to join the convention in 7-day long programs. Among others, former chairman of IEB, Chittagong Engr Md. Haroon, Engr Md. Delwar Hossain, Engr. ASM Nasiruddin chowdhury, Engr. SM Shahidul Alam and Engr. Md. Rezaul Karim were present on the occasion, a IEB sources said.
