The Saif Powertec Limited 41st National ‘B’ Chess Championship begins today at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room here at 3 pm.
2100 and over FIDE rated players, previous year national players, national woman, national junior and national sub-junior champion, selected players from district championship, selected players Dhaka City, public Universities, Bangladesh Army, Navy, Air force, Police, Ansar, Fire-Service, Titas Gas will take part in the event. The event will be held in an 11 round Swiss-League system and top 9 nine players will qualify in the National ‘A’ Chess Championship.
Five grandmasters reigning national champion Ziaur Rahman, Niaz Murshed, Mollah Abdullah Al Rakib, Enamul Hossain and Reefat Bin Sattar will be invited directly to participate in National ‘A’ chess meet.
