The 42nd National A Chess Championship begins today (Tuesday) at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room here at 3 pm.
The event will be held in all play all system and 14 players including 4 grandmasters, 2 International Masters, 9 FIDE Masters and 1 Candidate Master will compete in the meet.
The participants are reigning champion IM Mohammad Minhaz Uddin, GM Mollah Abdullah Al Rakib, GM Enamul Hossain Razib, GM Niaz Murshed, GM Ziaur Rahman, FM Mehdi Hasan Parag, FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed, IM Abu Sufian Shakil, FM Kh. Aminul Islam, CM Ikramul Haq Siam, FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman Emon, FM Rezaul Haque and FM Mohammad Javed.
