State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid Bipu has received the “Commitment to the Number of the Civil Merit Order”, the highest civil honor of Spain.
Spanish Ambassador to Bangladesh Alvaro de Salas handed over the award to Nasrul here on February 17, said a press release on Sunday.
Spanish Monarch Felipe VI gave the award to Nasrul for his excellent contribution in developing the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Spain.
“Through this, the relations between the two countries will become stronger in the future and Spain feels proud to adorn the state minister with the honour,” the Spanish ambassador said.
Nasrul Hamid, on the occasion, thanked Spain for its continuous support to Bangladesh in the UN on different issues.
