Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a convicted fugitive robber from Charkadira in Kamalnagar upazila early Thursday.
The deceased Moin Uddin Manu, son of Sultan Ahmed Patwari of the upazila, was a top-listed robber, said Alamgir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kamalnagar Police Station. Being informed that two gangs of robbers were exchanging bullets over establishing supremacy in the area, a team of police went to the spot and found the bullet-hit body of Moin Uddin. Police also recovered a firearm and two-round bullets from the spot, said the OC. Moin was wanted in several cases and was also a convicted fugitive in a case.
