An all-round performance by Nasir Hossain saw Abahani Limited to post a comfortable six wickets victory over Partex Sporting Club in their fifth round low scoring encounter of the Walton Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL) held on Tuesday at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothisthan ground in Savar.
Favored by coin, Partex Sporting Club batted first and faced serious batting debacle and finally dismissed at a paltry total of 170 in 49.2 overs.
Chasing the facile target of 171 runs set by Partex SC, Abahani easily reached home making 175 runs in 33.1 overs with six wickets in hand.
National all rounder Nasir Hossain of Abahani Limited with his all round performance taking three wickets and scoring 29 runs was named the player of the match.
With the day’s victory, the Sky blue Dhanmondi ‘outfit’ Abahani Limited improved their tally with six points from five matches while Partex Sporting Club remained at their previous earning of four points playing the same number of matches.
