FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed continued his winning streak as he won his second round game in the IX Open International d’escacs de Sants, Hostafrancs i la Bordeta Group A match yesterday at Barcelona in Spain, said a press release Bangladesh Chess Federation on Sunday.
In the first round match, FM Nasir beat Nilsson Lars Kjoller of Denmark and in the second FM Nasir beat Perez Garcia Jose Miguel of Spain.
The 3rd round games were supposed to started on today evening at 8:30 PM. Bangladeshi time against IM Goh Wei Ming Kevin of Singapore.
A total 403 players from 48 countries including 26 Grand Masters, 2 Women Grand Masters, 44 International Masters and 6 Women’s International Masters are taking part in the event.
