Narinda Junior Lions Club became the champions of the Dhaka City Corporation (North & South) Pioneer Football League when they beat Araf Sporting Club of Gulbagh by a solitary goal in the final at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday.
Narinda Junior Lions Club finished the first session 1-0.
Md Shohag Mia of Narinda Junior Lions Club scored the all-important match in the 13th minute of the play.
Wahiduzzaman Hridoy, the goalkeeper of Narinda Junior Lions Club was adjudged the Man of the Final.
Champions Narinda Junior Lions Club was awarded Tk one lakh and a trophy while runners-up Araf Sporting Club was given Tk fifty thousand.
After the final match, Minster for Post and Telecommunication Abdul Latif Siddique, MP was the chief guest of the final. President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Kazi Md Salahuddin, Vice-President of BFF Badal Roy were present at the time.
Badal Roy and Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Don distributed the prizes among the winners.
Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports and Chairman of the Pioneer Football League Committee Arif Khan Joy presided over the prize-giving ceremony.
