Nandan Mancha, country’s first floating stage with a sitting capacity of at least 1500 people in a pond will be inaugurated at the premises of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on January 12.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor will inaugurate the newly constructed stage at 6 pm on the day.
The surrounding of the ‘Nandan Mancha’ would be decorated with water shower and colorful modern light and at least fifteen water fountains will also be installed at the stage.
Dr Ranjit Kumar Biswas, secretary of the Cultural Affairs Ministry, told BSS that “the construction of the ‘Nandan Mancha’ would be a unique creation in Bangladesh.”
The mancha is being built with the directive of the Prime Minister and the financial support from the Ministry.
The estimated cost for construction of the stage would be Taka one crore ,said the official.
