National Film Award winner singer Nazmun Munira Nancy will be present as special guest at music reality show Banglar Gayen tonight. Producer of the show Sohag Masud informed that Nancy will be seen as special guest at special episode of the show which will be aired on RTV at 8:00pm. To be hosted by Shanta Jahan, top 12 contestants will take part in this episode which will focus on folk songs. Three judges of the show – SI Tutul, Shawkat Ali Emon and Ibrar Tipu – will give their judgments after hearing songs of the contestants. To inspire the participant singers, Nancy has been invited
to attend this special episode.
While talking in this regard Nancy said, “Tonight’s episode of Banglar Gayen was recorded few days ago. I always try to watch this reality show to find out singers of new generation. Overall, I have liked this show. I believe through this show we can get some new promising singers.”
Nancy also said that in the beginning of this year, 10 popular songs of Shahnaz Rahmatullah, Runa Laila and Sabina Yasmin will be released under new musical arrangement in her voice. This initiative was taken by the owner of Anupam Music, Anowar Hossain. Nancy has already lent her voice for the song titled Tumito ekhon aamar-e kotha bhabchho, which was originally rendered by Sabina Yasmin in movie Jibon Nouka. Gulbanu Khan wrote lyrics of the song, which music was composed by Alam Khan. On January 2, Nancy took part in a programme Jiboner Golpo on Channel i hosted by Shahriar Nazim Joy. On January 3, she performed in Friday Star on Channel 9. She recently lent her voice for a song titled Aamar ektaito mondo swobhab, which lyrics were written by Gazi Mazharul Anwar and music was composed
by Ahmed Kislu, she also said.
