Premier Division Cricket League: Nahidul leads Prime Bank to victory

Nahidul Islam scored a match-winning unbeaten knock of 73 as Prime Bank Cricket Club recorded an emphatic five-wicket victory over Shinepukur Cricket Club in the 10th round of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL) on Wednesday.
Nahidul hit six boundaries and one over boundary from 78-ball as Prime Bank chase down the target with 20 balls to spare after they slipped to 4 for 127.
On way to match-winning knock, Nahidul first shared useful 74-run for the fifth wicket stand with Yusuf Pathan (32) and again paired another 51-run unbeaten sixth wicket stand with Delwar Hossain (24) to take his side to the victory.
Naeem Islam jnr and Raihan Uddin shared two Prime Bank’s wickets conceding 49 and 52 runs respectively.
Earlier, Shinepukur Cricket Club posted a competitive total of 251 for all in 49.5 overs after they were forced to bat first by Prime Bank at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur.
Indian recruit Uday Kaul top scored with 52-run off 62-ball laced with six boundaries while opener Sadman Islam contributed 44-run off 63-ball that featured six fours.
Towhid Hridoy (39), Sabbir Hossain (26) and Afif Hossain (24) were the other notable scorers for Shinepukur.
Shoriful Islam was the pick of Prime Bank bowler as he claimed three wickets conceding 46 runs. He was well supported by Enamul Haque Jr who bagged two wickets giving away 47 runs.
Nahidul Islam of Prime Bank was named the player of the match for his match-winning knock.
