Nahid accorded reception for electing VP of UNESCO

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid was accorded a reception on Monday for his election as Vice-President (VP) of the 38th session of UNESCO General Conference as well as International Mother Language Institute (IMLI)’s category-2 recognition.
The Education Ministry and its different organizations hosted the reception in the conference room of the ministry. Senior officials and heads of the different organizations concerned, among others, were present at the function.
On the occasion, Nahid said, “These achievements are the outcome of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s strong commitment towards expansion of education in the country. This credit goes to the entire education family as well as all people of the country.”
UNESCO’s recognition has been achieved as a result of making a remarkable progress in the education sector in the past couple of years, he added.
International Mother Language Institute (IMLI) of Dhaka has given the recognition of UNESCO Category-2 Institute in the ongoing 38th session of the UNESCO General Conference at its headquarter in Paris on November 7.
