Nafees again wins Oscar Academy Award

Bangladeshi young animation engineer Nafees Bin Zafar has yet again won the Academy Award (Oscar) for
creating a system that made destruction effects in the movie How to Train Your Dragon 2.
The Academy Board of Governors has voted to give
a Technical Achievement Award to Nafees, Erwin Coumans and Stephen Marshal. Nafees and Stephen separately developed two large-scale destruction
simulation systems based on Bullet, while Erwin Coumans developed the Bullet physics library.
Nafees formally received the good news through
a letter on January 8 from the Academy of Motion
Picture Arts and Sciences.
Nafees had won the Oscar in 2007 for his
contribution in the development of fluid simulation system in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End. He had shared the awards with his two
colleagues Doug Roble and Ryo Sakaguchi, in that year. Nafees was born in Dhaka on October 8, 1978,
and presently he has been working as the chief
engineer at Oriental DreamWorks in Shanghai,
China. He is the only child of his parents.
