DSE, CSE index gain

Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses -Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – gained on Tuesday, the 2nd trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 43.26 points or nearly 0.88 percent to close at 4969.67 on the day. Of the 309 issues traded, 191 gained, 74 declined and 44 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 319.60 crore changed hands at the DSE on Tuesday as against Tk. 204.42 crore on Monday.
The day’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were Shahjibazar Power, Alltex Industries, Standard Ceramic, Ratanpur Steel Re-Rolling Mills, Hamid Fabrics, BANGAS, Bengal Windsor Thermoplastics, Matin Spinning Mills, CVO Petrochemical Refinery, and Summit Purbanchol Power Company.
The CSE key index, CSCX, gained 76.78 points to reach 9208.15 at the closing on Tuesday. Of the 248 issues traded, 154 advanced, 71 suffered loss and 23 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues was Tk 24.73 crore at the CSE on the day as against Tk 14.95 crore on the last trading day.
