Mystery unearthed over death of Bagmara businessman

Kamrul Islam, a businessman, whose body was recovered from Bishutibill under Borobihanali Union by Bagmara police on April 16, was murdered allegedly by some unknown miscreants, police said.
Mystery behind the killing was unearthed during an investigation after Ranju and Kamrul’s cousin Mahabur Rahman gave confessional statement to the police, said Rasel Kabir, OC of Bagmara police station and also the investigation officer of the murder case.
Bagmara police recovered Kamrul’s body with several stabbed marks in his throat from a paddy field of the Bishutibill on April 16.
On the same day, police arrested two suspects- Ranju and Kamrul’s cousin Mahabur, after a case filed by the victim’s family members accusing unnamed people.
When the investigation officer of the case confirmed that Ranju and Mahabur were involved in the killing, police arrested them.
Later, the duos accused were placed before the court and keep on tree day remand.
During remand on Thursday, they gave a confessional statement to the police.
“Actual mystery and killers of the businessman has been identified already but it will be not revealed yet for smooth investigation of the case,” OC Rasel Kabir said.
