Mystery shrouds death of judge

A judge of Chittagong judiciary Kazi Abdul Hasib Md. Sayeed (47) died mysteriously in his city residence on Tuesday night.
 Judge Sayed was the Additional District Judge of Chittagong.
Family sources said , he committed suicide in his bedroom by hanging on Tuesday night but police suspected that this is not suicidal death rather a mystery.
Police on suspicion over the death detained his wife, mother -in-law and brother -in-law at hospital while the deceased was brought in Chittagong Medical College Hospital. Police sources said the said judge was residing with his second wife at Halishahar Haji Mollahpara area .
 Following the family feud with his wife, he committed suicide inside the room by hanging and closed the door of the room inside.
The family members of father-in-law house broke the door and found him in hanging. Immediately he was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital in emergency ward where the attending physicians declared him dead. But suspected the death of the judge otherwise as they did not traced any sign of suicide in the body of the deceased.

Huge bombs, arms recovered from CU hall

Police in a drive on Tuesday recovered huge number of petrol bombs, Jihadi books and other indigenous arms including iron rods, surgery blades and iron shackles from a dormitory of Chittagong University (CU).
A team of Hathazari police in an hour-long drive recovered 18 petrol bombs, one dagger, four sacks of stones, 40 iron rods, six sacks of Jihadi books, three surgery blades, five chocolate bombs, 10 sacks of iron shackles and four litre petrol from Shibir dominated Abdur Rab Hall around 4.30pm.
“The bombs were recovered from room numbers 314 and 219 of the hall while the other local arms were recovered from different rooms”, said Mohammad Ismail, Officer-in-charge (OC) of Hathazari police station.
