National Women's Football: Mymensingh to face Rajbari in opener today

Mymansingh District team will face Rajbari District team in the opening match of the final round of the KFC National Women’s Football Championship at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur today. The match begins at 1.00 pm.
In the day’s other match, BJMC will take on Rangpur District team at the same venue at 3.00 pm.
Marking the forthcoming football competition, a press conference was held at the conference room of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House on Tuesday. Deputy Chairperson of the Women’s Wing of BFF Mahfuza Akhter Kiron, General Secretary of BFF Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, Member of the Women’s Wing of BFF Mahfuza Nazrul, Area Coach of KFC Zahidul Alam spoke at the conference.
A total of eight teams splitting into two groups are competing in the final round. Mymensingh District team, BJMC, Rangpur District team, Rajbari District team are in Group A while Bangladesh Ansar & VDP, Tangail District team, Satkhira District team, Khulna District team are in Group B.
The champions of the Group A will face the runners-up of Group B in the first semi-final on March 8 at the same venue while the champions of the Group B will meet the runners-up of the Group A in the second semi-final at the same venue on the same day.
The winners of the two semi-finals will face each other in the final at the same venue on March 10.
The champions of the competition will be awarded Tk 50,000 while the runners-up of the meet will get Tk 25,000.
The each participating team will get Tk 30,000.
