JFA Football: Mymensingh emerge unbeaten champions beating Tangail 2-0

Mymensingh District team emerged unbeaten champions in the JFA U-14 Women’s National Football Championship’ 2015 with all-win record beating Tangail District team by 2-0 goals in the final at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Sunday.
Sanjida put Mymensingh ahead in the 18th minute while Sajeda confirmed the team’s victory adding one more goal in the 29th minute.
Marzia of the champions Mymensingh DFA team named as the highest scorer of the tournament netting 10 goals while Maria Manda of the same team was adjudged the most valuable player of the tournament.
Champion Mymensingh DFA received prize money of Taka 50,000 in addition to golden trophy and medals while runners-up Tangail DFA richer with prize money of Taka 25,000 in addition to silver trophy and medals.
Narayanganj DFA team was adjudged the most disciplined team of the tournament to receive “fair play trophy” while Thakurgaon DFA named as the best venue in the preliminary round.
BFF President Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin was the chief guest in the day’s final and later he distributed the trophies.
BFF member Arif Hossen Moon, former national player, Ashrafuddin Ahmed Chunnu, deputy chairman of BFF women’s wing Mahfuza Akter Kiron and BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag were also present on the occasion.
Earlier in the semifinals on Friday, Mymensingh DFA eliminated Narayanganj DFA by 6-1 goals while Tangail DFA outplayed Dinajpur DFA by 6-0 goals to reach the final.
