Mutilated body of factory worker recovered at Shibalaya

Police have recovered the mutilated body of a press worker named Ramzan Ali (30) at Shibalaya in Manikganj. Police recovered the body of the factory worker from a crop field in Shimulia Union of the upazila on Friday (May 26) morning.
The deceased was identified as Ramzan, son of late Lebu Mia of the village. He was an employee of a printing press in Uttara area of Dhaka. He is also the father of one daughter.
Nasir Mia, Ramzan Ali’s cousin, said Ramzan was returning from Dhaka on Thursday night as he had a weekly holiday on Friday. After reaching Mahadevpur Bazar of ShibalayaUpazila around 10 pm, he had a last talk with his wife. At this time, Ramzan said that he will reach home in a short time. But after an hour, he did not return and the phone used by Ramzan was switched off, so the family members went out to look for him. He was searched all night but could not be found.
Around 8 am on Friday, a local man came to pick chilies from the field and saw the bloody corpse of Ramadan. Additional Superintendent of Police of Shibalaya Circle Tania Sultana and Officer-in-Charge of Shibalaya Police Station Firoz Kabir visited the spot. He said that the body of Ramzan was found with sharp weapon wounds on his neck, head and hands.
