A complaint was found against a trader named Al-Amin, who has been making mustard oil mixing with chemicals and colour. He is the son of Abdur Razzak at Sardar Para village of Bhangura Upazila. Police said eyewitnesses have seen blending palm oils mixed with paint and chemicals at his shop in front of Agrani Bank at Bhangura Municipality on Wednesday afternoon. Upazila sanitary inspector Nurul Islam went to the shop and got the idea of making drossy oil. Police seized 20 liters of adulterated mustard oil and materials from here. ASI Sajedur Rahman of Bhangura Thana confirmed the news and said businessman Al-Amin run away.
Upazila sanitary inspector Nurul Islam said there was evidence of the manufacture of adulterated mustard oil in eyewitness statements and preliminary reports. Legal action will be taken in this regard soon.
