Sports Desk :Young Bangladesh seamer Mustafizur Rahman has been voted the Emerging Player of IPL 2016 to top off a remarkable run after his team Sunrisers Hyderabad won the title for the first time.In an exciting high-scoring final on Sunday night, Hyderabad sealed an 8-run win against Royal Challengers Bangalore who put up a valiant effort in their own backyard, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.The 20-year-old seamer’s four-over spell went for 37 for one wicket, which complemented a total of 17 wickets from 16 matches at a remarkable economy rate of 6.90 – the lowest among bowlers who bowled at least 20 overs.Mustafizur grabbed the award after winning a landslide 83.2 percent of the votes in the poll on the tournament’s official website – IPLT20.com.’The Fizz’, as he is fondly called, has been an important cog in the Hyderabad bowling unit, consistently fooling the batsmen with his variations at the death overs.Bangalore batsman KL Rahul came second with 6.5 percent of the votes while Mumbai Indians allrounder Krunal Pandya got 3.7 percent.Bangalore captain Virat Kohli, who earned the orange cap of the tournament’s topscorer (973), was adjudged the MVP (Most Valuable Player) for his sensational run with the bat.He made four centuries and seven fifties in 16 innings at a towering average of 81.08 and strike rate of 152.03. He also hit the highest number of sixes – 38, one more than his teammate AB de Villiers.
