Mustafizur in ICC ODI team of the year

Bangladesh pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman has been named in ICC Men’s ODI team of the year.
He is the only Bangladeshi who has found a place in ICC team of the year.
Mustafizur played 18 ODIs in 2018 and took 29 wickets with the best bowling figures of taking four wickets conceding 43 runs against Pakistan in Asia Cup. He helped the Tigers to overcome the challenge of Pakistan to propel the team to the final.
Mustafizur started playing in international cricket back in 2015, and he enjoyed most success in 2018. In the first year of his career, the left-arm pacer took 26 wickets in nine ODIs. In 2016, he was out of action in most parts of the year due to a shoulder injury. He played only two ODIs in 2016 and bagged four wickets.
Backing from the injury in 2017, Mustafizur took 17 wickets in 11 ODIs and during the calendar year of 2018, he took 29 wickets in 18 encounters.
ICC has named Virat Kohli as the ODI player of the year 2018, and he was named as the captain of the ODI team of the year as well.
The team contains four players from India and England, and one player from each of Afghanistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand. There is no player from Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Windies.
