Mustafiz’s Sussex mission ends

‘New Sensation’ Mustafizur Rahman’s Sussex mission ended due to shoulder injury. The left-arm pacer played two Twenty20 matches of County Cricket Championship. Mustafiz got injury in his shoulder during his second match. After that a physiotherapist of Landon scanned Mustafiz’s shoulder. According to the medical report, Mustafiz couldn’t take part in the County Cricket Championship.
If Sussex want that Mustafiz will play for Sussex in County Cricket Championship, Mustafiz has to take painkiller injection or tablet. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) forbade Sussex to suggest Mustafiz to take that kind of injection or tablet to play for Sussex in County Cricket Championship.
Coach of Sussex Mark Davis, Captain of Sussex Luke Wright and the other players of Sussex highly praised Mustafiz for his performance in his debut. Mustafiz claimed four wickets for 23 runs in his four overs against Essex on July 21. Mustafiz was adjudged the Man of the Match.
Mustafiz’s shoulder will be scanned this week. If the physician suggests to operation in Mustafiz’s shoulder, BCB has informed him to do that.
Chairman of Media Committee of BCB Jalal Younus said to a local website “Mustafiz’s Sussex mission is over. I do not see any opportunity for Mustafiz to play in the County Cricket Championship.”
