The government on Monday appointed Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury as the acting secretary of the ministry of finance.
Muslim Chowdhury, who was working in the same ministry as an additional secretary, will replace Hedayetullah Al Mamun.
A post-graduate in accounting from the University of Chittagong and MSc in finance from University of Birmingham, UK he has been serving in the civil service for the past 30 years.
Musliam Chowdhury has been playing active role in reform process in the finance ministry.
Finance secretary Hedayetullah Al Mamun’s tenure expired on Tuesday.
