The physical condition of 12-year-old Muktamoni, who was diagnosed with a tumour in her hand in August 2017, is critical. Muktamoni’s father Ibrahim Hossain, a grocery shop owner of Kamarbaisa
village in Sadar upazila, said, “The infection in her hand has spread all over. Bad odor comes out from her hand when the bandage is pulled off for dressing.” Sever blooding occurs when dressing is done, said her father.
Muktamoni’s right hand has completely been decomposed, said her father adding, “We have left all hope. Now only Allah can save her.” Ibrahim Hossain also said they have discussed her condition with Dr Samanta Lal Sen, Coordinator of Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
