Bangladesh will take on Nepal in the first match of the ‘Mujib Borsho’ FIFA International Football series at the country’s premier venue Bangabandhu National Stadium today. The match kicks-off at 5.00pm. State-owned television channel Bangladesh Television will telecast the match live from the big bowl.
Marking the upcoming gala football match, two press conferences were held at the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House on Thursday.
Head Coach of Bangladesh team Jamie Day, Captain of Bangladesh Jamal Bhuiyan, Head Coach of Nepal Bal Gopal Maharjan, Captain of Nepal Kiran Kumar Limbu spoke at their respective conferences.
Jamie Day said, ” My boys worked hard last three-weeks. Their practice for the upcoming friendly matches was pretty good. The result of the matches are not so important rather Bangladesh’s football will return to the field. The two friendly matches against Nepal will be boost up our boys for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers match against Qatar in December.'”
Jamie said, ” My boys have four FIFA World Cup Qualifiers matches. So, the two friendly matches will be a perfect platform of preparation for our side.”
He said, ” Players of Bangladesh got a short period to prepare themselves for the ensuing friendly matches. But they worked hard and prepared themselves for the matches.”
He said, ” I am satisfied with my forwards that they have capacity to score against Nepal.”
Jamal Bhuiyan said,” Nepal were out of field for seven months. We want to win. Earlier, we lost to Nepal. We want to take revenge against them.”
 Bal Gopal Maharajn said, ” We have idea about Bangladesh’s football. We want to present better brand of football. Some of my booters could not come with us as they have been suffering from coronavirus. Some booters will make debut and I hope they will help us to win.”
Kiran Kumar Limbu said, ” We get a good opportunity to return to the football during coronavirus outbreak. The BFF has invited us. We want to utilize the chance.”
The rates of the tickets are: Taka 500 for VIP and Taka 100 for East and West galleries.
The tickets will be available on the match days.
