Finance Minister AMA Muhith said if Awami League (AL) wants, he will contest the next parliament election.
“Personally, I have no intention of taking part in the upcoming elections but if the party wants, I will contest,” he said this on Monday while talking to reporters at the secretariat office.
“If Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina desires I will participate in the polls,” he added.
“In my constituency Khaleda Zia or Ershad may participate in the next general election, I feel Ershad is more eligible because some development works took place in Sylhet during his regime”, he said while replying to a question.
