Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith will attend the annual general meeting of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group.
The meeting is scheduled for May 14-18, but the finance minister will be attending the three-day Board of Governors meeting, to be held at Jeddah in the Saudi Arabia on May 16-18, said a release on Sunday.
The finance minister is scheduled to leave here for Jeddah tomorrow. Before attending the IDB meeting, he will perform the holy Umrah Hajj.
The Board of Governors of the IDB Group will hold the annual meeting to discuss development issues and institutional matters.
The meeting is likely to attract over 2,000 participants and offers an ideal platform for decision makers to discuss challenges and explore opportunities facing IDB Group member countries.
