A college student was stabbed to death and his elder brother was wounded in an attack by a number of muggers at Monirampur in Jessore before the Eid day.
The dead was identified as Ali Reza Raju, 25, student of honours at Khulna Azam Khan Commerce College and also son of Atiar Rahman of Kaziara village under Monirampur upazila. His brother banker Ruhul Kuddus,30 was wounded in the attack.
Police and relatives of the victims told newsmen that the two brothers were wounded in attacks with sharp weapons by muggers at dead night before the Eid day on way to their residence as the younger brother came to Monirampur upazila town to bring back his elder brother by a motorbike. Muggers took away money and valuable stabbing the brothers on their way.
