Dhaka Mohammedan SC (MSC)managed a 1-0 victory over Muktijoddha Sangsad KC in their opening second phase match of the Nitol-Tata Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday.
With the day’s feat, Mohammedan SC advanced to the 3rd slot in the league table after Sheikh Jamal DC (24) and Abahani Limited (19) securing 17 points from 10 matches while Muktijoddha SKC remained at 15 points, also playing 10 matches.
National color striker Zahid Hasan Emily scored the match-winning goal for the traditional black and white Mohammedan SC.

A left footer of Sunday Chizoba rolled past the side post with Mohammedan goalie Mamum Khan standing in the opposite post.
In the 57th minute, Mohmmedan winger Zahid Hossain and Muktijoddha skipper Maruf Ahmed got marching orders after receiving red cards for clashing with each other.
Muktijoddha dominated most of the proceedings in 2nd half but failed to score.
In the 88th minute, a free kick of Elita Kingley of Muktijoddha, traveled over the Mohammedan crosspiece leaving the freedom fighters’ team frustrated.
