Suspended general manager Yousuf Ali Mridha and social welfare officer Golam Kibria of Bangladesh Railway (east zone) was shown arrested in another graft case on Wednesday.
The court of Divisional Special Judge SM Ataur Rahman passed the order following a petition of the investigation officer of the case, court sources said. The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Chittagong lodged the case in 2012 for the department’s an illegal recruitment of the post of record keeper which is now in under investigation.
Meanwhile, the same court recorded the deposition of Moffazzal Hossain, a BR high official, in another graft case lodged against Mridha and others over recruitment irregularities in appointing fuel checker.
Main accused Mridha, Kibria and Additional Chief Mechanical Engineer Hafizur Rahman were produced before the court.
